Good news from the already lamented Orlando Theatre Project, which hasn’t quite shut down but feels as if it has.
OTP is doing one final show, John Cariani’s romantic comedy Almost, Maine, on Valentine’s Day weekend. It’s a fundraiser, to pay off some of those outstanding bills, and let’s hope every bill is vanquished. Or vanished. Something like that.
Not all the details are set, but here’s what I know so far. Jim Howard is directing, and these folks are expected to take part: Richard Width, Robby Pigott, Christine Decker, Philip Nolen, Ame Livingston, David Veitch, Darby Ballard, David Kelly, Krista Pigott and others. (Now that I’ve outed them, I expect they’d better be there.)
The show will be at the Goldman Theater at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center Feb. 13 and 14 (and possibly the 12th, if Equity goes along). Cost? $20.
Sounds like a don’t-miss event to me.
